Miso glazed trout

I’m running a cleanse this week. I’ll start tomorrow today I’m enjoying one of my favourite fish dishes. Double the miso topping for two and so on.

Ingredients

  • 1 piece ocean trout

  • 1 teaspoon miso I prefer lighter miso it’s not so salty

  • 1 teaspoon orange marmalade

  • 1 teaspoon Bragg’s seasoning or low salt soy

  • Few drops sesame oil

  • Few drops of water to bring it all together

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 220C with the grill on.

  2. Put the trout on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  3. Mix together the miso, marmalade, seasoning sauce, sesame oil and water to form a thick sauce consistency.

  4. Spoon over trout.

  5. Cook for a bit less than I did mine is a bit sunburnt. About 15-20 minutes depends on how hot your oven is. You want a bit of char on it.

  6. Serve with leafy greens and zesty dressing or whatever the heck you feel like.
